I Mediterranean Conference

The Steering Committee invites submissions on the topics above mentioned for the following:

Contributed papers (full paper)
Poster presentations (2 pages abstract)

In addition, the conference will include three plenary sessions and a concluding session. Topics for the three plenary sessions are:

Agricultural systems and rural development in the Mediterranean basin.
Mediterranean products: sustainability and competitiveness in agro-food chains.
Mediterranean integration and agro-food systems. Priorities for future research.

Contributed papers: The deadline for submission of Contributed Papers is December 31st, 2006. Papers will be anonymously refereed. Authors will be informed about the disposition of their submissions of prospective Contributed Papers by February 15th, 2007. Submissions will comprise two elements, each of which should be prepared as a separate PDF file:

Abstract of 250 words or less, including title, and authors’ names and affiliation.
Paper of up to 15 pages, double-spaced, in 12 point type, including title, tables, figures, and references. To preserve anonymity, authors' names should not appear in the body of the paper in a way that would reveal their identity.

Poster papers: The deadline for submission of Poster Papers is also January 31st, 2007. Authors will be informed about the disposition of their submissions of prospective Poster Papers by February 15th, 2007. Submissions will comprise two elements, each of which should be prepared as a separate PDF file:

Cover sheet including title, and authors’ names and affiliation.
Two-page abstract describing research problem, methods and main results. To preserve anonymity, authors' names should not appear in the abstract in a way that would reveal their identity.

The Conference language is English. However, to stimulate participation, submissions can be in English or French. In the latter case, an abstract in English should be included. However, the organising committee strongly suggests that oral presentations be made in English. Only simultaneous translation from English (French) to French (English) will be provided in Plenary Sessions.
